Thijs and Georgii first met at Slush 2023 in Helsinki. Thijs had a stand at the Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) event, showcasing his previous company’s VR technology, and Georgii stopped by, intrigued by the innovations. It didn’t take long before they hit it off, and a friendship developed.

One winter day, as they hiked through the deep snow and dark forests of Finland, Georgii shared his idea for a language app. They spent hours brainstorming and exploring how to integrate AI into the concept. During this hike, the idea for an AI integration bot emerged, with the potential to automate tasks like interpreting documents, generating presentations, and managing events. However, the adventure took a twist as the snowstorm grew heavier, and night began to fall quickly. They almost got lost in the forest, but luckily, Thijs, with his geographical background, switched into survival mode and guided them both to safety.

Later, they got in touch with Glenn, a long-time friend of Thijs, who was leading web and mobile development at ArcelorMittal. Glenn shared his need for a dashboard to manage Kubernetes infrastructure, which led to the creation of KuberBoost. This tool aimed to simplify Kubernetes management, and its development became a key component in scaling their AI-powered solutions.

As the discussions continued, Glenn introduced an idea that would become Clude's Talent Empowerment approach. This pillar focused on attracting talented developers who have great ideas but are not interested in the business side. Clude would provide the support needed to bring these ideas to life, creating a win-win situation for both the developers and the company.

 

From that snowy hike to building Clude, their journey has been one of collaboration, innovation, and a shared drive to solve real-world problems with cutting-edge technology.
